NEO kami: entering the catacombs

To venture where no mortal has survived.

The gods of our world are lost to time... Nobody knows who they were anymore, nor what powers they held. Except for me. I'm an avid scholar, searching for the truth of the elder gods, and I think I may have just cracked it.

A hidden temple on a faraway island, filled to the brim with several tombs, each holding one god, or so it is said. I'll have to go there and scavenge for myself. However, people say that the immense power of the gods is too much for a human to withstand without having protective gear. So I made some. I call it: The KAMI suit!

A game made in the present for a console from the past.

This Metroidvania game is made with NESmaker, a software that simplifies game creation, and allows you to make games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This ROM file can be flashed onto a cartridge and played on actual hardware, or played on an emulator.

Work In Progress

This game is (and likely will be for a while) an early access experience. At the time of writing this description (3/10/22), there are many bugs that still are yet to be ironed out, and there is not much content yet. In the section below, I will post any content updates when they happen.
